Leaving display graphics to the last minute can not only be stressful but also cause your trade show presence to be less effective. The collection of your graphics, table cover design, and general display design gives your audience a sense of who you are and how they can benefit from your products or services. So it’s important to have a total display system that is coordinated to really stand out at your next convention or business meeting.

But, before you jump right in and begin designing your exhibit visuals, know your vision and your audience. What message are you trying to communicate? Who’s your audience? Consider every attendee who walks by your booth as a possible decision-maker—and make sure their first impression hits the mark. Here are five ideas to make sure your effort works:

  1. Make sure your company name and product name are visible. Place them on your table cover design and display graphics.
  2. Buy non-printed table covers and printed table runners: Non-printed table covers are fairly inexpensive, so you can buy a 6’ and 8’ cover and then get nicely printed table runners that can really personalize your message for each type of venue.
  3. Don’t stop with your table. Custom-printed drapes matching your table cover will pull together a more cohesive look.
